For the past 5 years Jeff has been the president of Kanata's Village Green Community Association. From 2007 until 2010 he sat on the Board of Directors of the Kanata Food Cupboard; 1 year as the vice chair. This past year Jeff was a nominee for Citizen Of The Year in the Kanata Chamber of Commerce People's Choice Awards.
He has been a private consultant and an advisor to governments on health and community issues. Jeff has been a sought after guest on many local news programs. Jeff has worked as a consultant in a planning and strategic role for federal legislation and municipal bylaws, notably Smoke Free Ottawa campaign and the proposed Tobacco Youth Protection Act.
Jeff was educated in Public Administration and Governance at Ryerson University.
Jeff first ran for public office at the age of 30, when he ran against Alex Cullen in the 2000 municipal elections.
